The motto of Adelaide Bee Sanctuary is ‘Let’s make Adelaide a Sanctuary for Bees’ and aims to:
- Raise awareness of the vital role that pollinating insects have to our eco-system and food security
- Promote the co-habitation of people and pollinating insects in the urban environment
- Demonstrate best practice in beekeeping, underpinned be a bee-centric approach
- Support a greener and more sustainable Adelaide city
Do you want to know where your honey comes from? Where was it farmed? Was it ethically sourced? Is it sustainable?
Sanctuary Honey is made by the rescued bees at Adelaide Bee Sanctuary. It is ethically sourced, which means that the beekeeping principles are underpinned by a bee-centric approach. Adelaide Bee Sanctuary has beehives located in the city of Adelaide and metropolitan areas which provide the bees with a diverse range of nectar and pollen sources. Sanctuary Honey is ‘mixed floral’ honey that is naturally healthy, unfiltered, not heat treated and food provenance is assured.
